Why the Call Still Matters

The first move on any internet lead is the same: call the customer. An intice-sourced lead is, if anything, an even better reason to call quickly — the customer has told you they want to visit, and in some cases exactly when.

Build a Script

Before writing anything, answer three questions: who is the target customer of this call, what's the purpose of the call, and how will you know the call succeeded? A short questionnaire like this keeps the script focused and specific to your dealership rather than generic.

Keep It Conversational

A call sounds authentic when it doesn't sound scripted. Avoid industry jargon a customer won't recognize — terms like "negative equity," "beacon score," or "F&I" mean nothing to most shoppers, even though they're second nature inside a dealership.

Role-Play Before Using It Live

Read the script out loud with your team. This surfaces phrases that look fine on paper but sound stiff spoken aloud, and it's the fastest way to work through objections you're likely to hit on a real call. Have a third person score the practice session against the script's key points, and keep the exercise light — that energy carries over into the live calls.
