Visa Test Drive Reward Card: Program Overview
The full walkthrough — the card itself, how customers experience it on your website, redeeming a visit, activation, adding funds, and the reports available to you.
What Makes This Card Different
The $25 Visa reward card is fully customized to your dealership — your logo, your branding, delivered inside a matching greeting card with a thank-you note and activation instructions. It's a real, physical Visa card, and it works everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted.
- Delivery: 24–48 hour on-demand fulfillment once redeemed, shipped first class, typically in the customer's hands within 7–10 days total.
- No-cost replacement: lost in the mail, wrong address, or even expired in a drawer — it gets reissued at no charge to you or the customer.
- 12-month expiration: the customer has a full year to use it.
- No monthly fees: unlike many reward-card programs, nothing gets deducted from the balance over time.
How Customers Experience It on Your Website
The offer presents itself as a small entrance notification when a customer first arrives. If they close it or click elsewhere, it minimizes to a small tab on the left edge of the screen, then shrinks further to a barely-visible "nano tab" as they scroll — present, but never in the way. If a customer tries to leave the site without registering, an exit-intent prompt gives it one more chance (this alone typically lifts registrations 20–25%).
Registering opens a short form paired with a brief explainer video, and asks for name, phone, and email. Customers can optionally customize their test drive (family trip, commute simulation, highway vs. city) before completing registration and receiving a redemption certificate — by email and available to print — with their appointment details and next steps.
Redeeming a Visit in the Dealer Portal
Once a registered customer visits your showroom, you validate their visit in the dealer portal at intice.com:
- Log in, and you'll see every customer who registered but hasn't been redeemed yet.
- Search by first name, last name, email, phone, or the customer's redemption number.
- Select the customer and click Redeem.
- Confirm their mailing address using the address-capture tool, note the model of interest and purchase timeframe.
- The system checks for a match against anyone your dealership has already sent a card to — one card per household. If there's a match, you can cancel, mark it a duplicate, or proceed anyway.
- Click Proceed to Redemption. The envelope icon confirms it's done — the order is submitted to Visa within 24–48 business hours.
Activation and the Review Request
When the card arrives, the customer activates it through a branded activation portal. That flow includes a one-question survey (did they buy, and if not, why not — automatically emailed to your dealership), a few quick card-usage tips, and then a prompt to leave a Google review (or another review site of your choice) once activation is complete.
Adding Funds: Recharge Your Balance
Redemptions draw from your dealership's global funds account. From the dashboard, click Recharge Your Balance, choose a quantity (50 cards is the common default), and pay either by credit card immediately or by invoice through your accounts receivable process. Funds post to your balance as soon as payment is received.
Reports and the Learning Center
The Reports section shows registrations, completions, redemptions, and reviews captured — everything you need to gauge how the program is performing. If your dealership uses third-party lead sources, intice can automatically register those leads for the Visa incentive and send the redemption certificate by email at no extra cost beyond the card itself. The Learning Center (where this lesson lives) also holds the shorter how-to videos for each specific task, plus sales-skills clips on greeting customers and handling objections.
Location Services and IP Blocking
To keep the program honest, the offer automatically stops showing to anyone who has already registered from that device or IP address. Dealerships are encouraged to run a test registration once the system goes live specifically to block their own showroom's IP address, and the same block can be applied manually from the admin console at any time. Location services on mobile and desktop also suppress the offer for customers who are already on-site — for example, someone at your dealership for a service appointment — since the incentive is meant to bring new visitors in, not reward people who are already there.
Check Your Understanding
Answer all three questions correctly to unlock your certificate.
1. How long does a customer have to use their $25 Visa reward card before it expires?
2. What is the typical timeframe from a qualifying dealership visit to the customer receiving their physical Visa card?
3. Why does the system automatically block the Visa offer based on a customer's IP address or location?
